For the second consecutive year, the Tammy Walker Cancer Center at Salina Regional Health Center is recognized by Press Ganey as a 2023 Human Experience Pinnacle of Excellence Award winner. The Cancer Center earned the designation after ranking in the top 5% of healthcare providers in patient experience for a minimum of three years in a row.
Blue Distinction® Centers+ for Maternity Care — 2024
Salina Regional Health Center has been recognized by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas (BCBSKS) with a Blue Distinction® Centers+ (BDC+) for Maternity Care designation, as part of the Blue Distinction Specialty Care program. To earn this designation, each facility must deliver quality care, safely and cost-effectively.
HOSA Leadership in Collaboration Award — 2023
Health Occupations Students of America recognized Salina Regional with the Future Health Professionals Leadership in Collaboration Award for its efforts to empower future health professionals to become leaders in the global health community through education, collaboration and experience.
AHA Get With The Guidelines® — 2023
Salina Regional Health Center has received three American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s quality achievement awards for its commitment to ensuring stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines, ultimately leading to more lives saved and reduced disability. The hospital received the Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Gold Plus Award, Target: Stroke Elite Plus Honor Roll, and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll.

Kansas Newborn Screening “Best of the Best” — 2020
The Birth Center at Salina Regional health Center has been named one of Kansas’ “Best of the Best in Metabolic and Newborn Screening.” The first-ever awards were released by the KDHE’s Kansas Newborn Screening Program, honoring birthing facilities and midwives for their dedication to higher newborn screening standards using data collected in the 2019 calendar year. Salina Regional was one of 12 facilities across the state to receive the “Best of the Best” designation.
AHA Get With The Guidelines — 2020
Salina Regional Health Center has received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines® Stroke Gold Plus and Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus quality achievement awards. The awards recognize the hospital’s commitment to ensuring stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines using the latest scientific evidence.
Baby-Friendly Designation — 2020
By earning the international Baby-Friendly Designation from Baby-Friendly USA, Salina Regional Health Center is adhering to the highest standards of care for breastfeeding mothers and their babies.
Most Wired® Winner — 2017
A survey and industry benchmarking study conducted by Hospitals & Health Networks and the American Hospital Association named Salina Regional Health Center among the 2017 Most Wired Hospitals. This award is presented to hospitals and health systems across the country which have the technological pieces in place to drive efficiencies and improve both care and the patient experience.
Blue Distinction® Center+ for Maternity — 2016
In an effort to help prospective parents find hospitals that deliver quality, affordable maternity care, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas announced Salina Regional Health Center as one of the first hospitals to receive the Blue Distinction® Center+ for Maternity Care.
Women's Choice Award® America's Best Hospitals for Emergency Care — 2016
For the second year in a row, Salina Regional Health Center has received the 2016 Women's Choice Award® as one of America's Best Hospitals for Emergency Care. This evidence-based designation is the only Emergency Care award that identifies the country's best healthcare institutions based on robust criteria that considers female patient satisfaction, clinical excellence, and what women state that they want from a hospital.

Tammy Walker Cancer Center at Salina Regional Health Center has been named a Women's Choice Award® recipient as an America's Best Hospital for Cancer Care, acknowledging Tammy Walker Cancer Center’s dedication to providing exceptional patient care and cancer treatment care for women and their families.
Hospitals & Health Networks Most Wired — 2014
A survey and industry benchmarking study conducted by Health Networks magazine named Salina Regional Health Center among the 2014 Most Wired Hospitals. Salina Regional was one of 375 hospitals in the country and one of four hospitals in Kansas to earn the Most Wired designation.
Outstanding Patient Experience Award™ — 2013
Salina Regional Health Center was named one of a select group of hospitals identified as providing outstanding performance in the delivery of a positive experience for patients during their hospital stay. This award is based on 10 measures related to doctor and nurse communication, hospital cleanliness and noise levels, and medication and post-discharge care instructions as measured by Healthgrades.
HealthGrades Distinguished Hospital Award for Patient Safety — 2007
Salina Regional received the 2007 Distinguished Hospital Award for Patient Safety from HealthGrades for the third straight year, placing it in the top five percent in the nation in terms of patient safety. Salina Regional Health Center is one of only four hospitals in Kansas to receive this recognition, and it is the only hospital in the state to receive this distinction for three consecutive years.
Kansas Excellence Award — 2005 and 2001
The "Kansas Excellence Award" is the highest level of recognition in the Kansas Award for Excellence Program. The award is presented to businesses and organizations that have demonstrated through their practices and achievements the highest and most consistent levels of excellence.
Solucient's Top–100 Performance Improvement Hospitals — 2005
SRHC was named one of the Top–100 Performance Improvement Hospitals by Solucient. Measured in the analysis were quality of care, operational efficiency and financial performance.
2005 Distinguished Hospital Award for Patient Safety — 2005
SRHC is a recipient of the 2005 Distinguished Hospital Award for Patient Safety by a national health care rating organization. Salina Regional was the only award recipient in Kansas for 2005.
"Five–Star Rating" by Cleverley & Associates — 2004
SRHC receives a "Five–Star Rating" for Community Value Index from Cleverley & Associates. This rating was based on financial viability and hospital cost and charge structure to measure the value that a hospital provides to its community.
Jackson Organization – Employee Satisfaction — 2004
SRHC was awarded 1st place for overall employee satisfaction in the medium hospital category based on the 2004 employee opinion survey results.
Living the Vision Award — 2001
The "Living the Vision" award was established to honor organizations and individuals effectively carrying out the American Hospital Association’s vision of "a society of healthy communities, where all individuals reach their highest potential for health." Salina Regional was selected based on its dedication to community health.
Florence J. Nelson Outstanding Nurse Employer Award — 2001
The "Florence J. Nelson" award is designed to acknowledge employers who provide an encouraging atmosphere for the practice of nursing in the workplace.
Foster G. McGaw Finalist — 2001
The Foster G. McGaw Prize for Excellence in Community Service honors health delivery organizations that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to community service. Salina Regional was one of three finalists selected in the United States.
Leadership Award — 1997
Salina Regional was recognized for its community health efforts with the Leadership Award for Community Health Improvement from VHA, Inc., a national association of not–for–profit health care organizations.
